Former Prosecutor and Insurance Defense Lawyer
Prior to opening my own firm, I worked as a prosecutor and an insurance defense attorney. This unique background gives me valuable insight and perspective that allows me to build an effective, persuasive case on your behalf. With a thorough understanding of the law and process from both sides, I can anticipate the evidence and arguments that insurance companies and the State will use in their case against you.
I have been a courtroom litigator for the past nine years. Formal training is essential, but there are some things that can only be learned through direct experience. In just my first two years of prosecuting with the Clayton County Solicitor General's office, I handled 2,000 misdemeanor cases each year, primarily DUI. At the Newton County District Attorney's Office, I further honed my courtroom skills by prosecuting felony cases. As a trial attorney at an Atlanta firm, I defended insurance companies in personal injury and wrongful death cases, and conducted arson investigations.
To date, I have handled over 1,000 bench trials and at least 95 jury trials, and I have tried cases in almost every major jurisdiction in the state. I approach each client and case with a fresh perspective while drawing on a depth of experience.
